Congresswoman comments on Adams administration’s response to the crisis: she says Mayor misinterpreted the ‘Sanctuary City’ policy and also, she says, that Mayor should issue executive order that cancels the ‘Sanctuary City’ policy. Congresswoman says, that Adams’ administration has not reached out to her about this issue. She added she knows that Adams opposes sanctuary city policies, but he has to work with “radical-left” City Council that does not want changes in this matter.
She also says, she is still waiting to receive statistics from NYPD, regarding crime committed within close proximity of city-run migrant shelters.
