Second Round of Voting in the Presidential Election of the Republic of Poland in the New York Consular District
The second round of voting in the election for the President of the Republic of Poland in the New York Consular District will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Polling stations will be open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Individuals who registered for the first round have been automatically assigned to the same polling station for the second round.
In this case, no additional registration is required for the second round.
You can check your registration status at https://ewybory.msz.gov.pl/ by clicking the “Check registration status” button.
A message like the one below indicates that the voter has been assigned to the same polling station they registered for in the first round.
ADDING TO THE VOTERS LIST OR CHANGING VOTING DISTRICT
A person who did not participate in the first round may register only for the second round of voting. To do so, the Consulate General of Poland in New York encourages the use of the e-Wybory system: https://ewybory.msz.gov.pl/
This method is recommended due to its simplicity and speed.
If a voter wishes to change their voting district to another one within the U.S. or another country (outside of Poland), this can also be done through https://ewybory.msz.gov.pl/ by selecting the “Change voting location” option.
Alternatively, you may:
-
Send a scanned, signed application to be added to the voters list via email to: [email protected] – the application form is available for download at https://www.gov.pl/web/usa/wybory-prezydenta-rp-2025-za-granica in the section titled “How to apply to be added to the voters list prepared by the consul?”
-
Submit the application in person at the Consulate General of Poland in New York during office hours – no appointment is required, and forms are available in the public service hall.
Registration for the second round and voting district changes through the e-Wybory system will be available from Tuesday, May 20, 2025, to Tuesday, May 27, 2025, until 11:59 PM (New York time).
VOTING IN POLAND IN THE SECOND ROUND
If a voter registered abroad but will be in Poland on June 1, there are several ways to be added to the voters list in Poland:
-
Submitting a request in person at the local municipal office to be added to the voters list;
-
Changing the voting district online via the ePUAP system – NOTE: this is only available to those with a trusted profile (profil zaufany), personal signature, or qualified electronic signature.
You may also request a certificate of the right to vote from a consul or a municipal office in Poland. Such requests can be made until May 29, 2025.
Individuals who obtained voting certificates before May 18, 2025, received two certificates and may use the one valid for the second round to vote in any polling district, either in Poland or abroad.
Those who have obtained a certificate of the right to vote do not need to register again — they simply need to present the certificate and their passport to the polling commission on election day.
Addresses of polling stations are available at https://www.gov.pl/web/usa under the tab: “Presidential Election 2025 Abroad” → Electoral Commissions (OKW) in the USA.
Important Reminder:
In the United States, you can only vote with a valid Polish passport. It is not possible to vote using a Polish national ID card.
